The Satwikam Welfare Foundation started its meal distribution programme in March 2018 by providing free meals to children in slum areas. We will spare no effort to free our fellow men, women and children from the abject and dehumanising conditions of extreme hunger and malnutrition.

Hunger and illiteracy are India’s two major challenges. There is a serious malnutrition issue in India with the World Bank’ many children in India, being underweight. Hunger is an obstacle to a child’s health, education and survival.

Satwikam Welfare Foundation is focused on eliminating hunger by feeding a filling, nutritious meal. The organisation, by means of this programme, aims at achieving the Zero Hunger.

The not-for-profit organisation works towards its vision of ‘No child in India shall be deprived of hunger.’ In order to achieve this vision, Satwikam Welfare Foundation provides food in the slum areas. This wholesome meal is often the only source of nutrition for the whole day for many under privilege children. Thus, to ensure that every child is benefited through this meal, Satwikam Welfare Foundation prepares nutritious meals that suit the local palate as well.
